The extended trim tab plate fits in the trim tab anode cavity of the anti-ventilation plate to help prevent corrosion of aluminum or stainless steel engine parts and aid in offsetting steering torque. Inspect anodes periodically for best protection and replace when seeing signs of corrosion or pitting.
